I wouldn't be worried at all if your not sexually active. A womans cycle is very touchy. There are a ton of things it can be from: stress, your body changing (cause it does that every few years), major life changes (like dieting, medicines, ect.)... almost anything can make your cycle go out of whack...

First off how old are you and how long have you been having your period. If you are under 16 and have only been menstruating for a year or so, it could just be irregular. If you have been regular up until now, has anything changed? If you are suddenly more active, like taking up a sport or running track, or if you have suddenly lost or gained a lot of weight it can affect you period. If you are truly concerned talk to your mom and go see a doctor.

Hi! Just take a chill pill :o> As for the answer to your question...yes it is "normal" not to get a period on time (even if you're not sexually active), however, it's not normal not to get one! If you've been dieting (starving yourself) it may delay it for a few days! Having said that, if you are starving yourself, and have not gotten your period you really need to see a doctor! I hope this helps...take care :o>

Stress, being an exercise hound (where you have a miniscule amount of body fat), hormonal imbalances, and several other things could be your answer. Look for any other things that may now come to light that you may have initially thought was un-important and see if there is a clue. If racking the brain is not productive, please call your ob/gyn. BTW, what is your age, race and weight?

Age can have alot to do with it. Young girls can take awhile to regulate. If you are very heavy heavy periods can stop. If you are on the Depo shot that can happen. Check it out at the GYN to be safe.
