im 28 have 2 children decided to have another , got my coil taken out after bad side affects too.(weight gain ) its only been 3 months but im scared im not ovulating or that something has gone wrong , had the coil in for 12 months .

your normal fertility should return pretty much straight after the mirena coil has been removed.

Your fertility will return immediately after removing the IUD. Sometimes it can take several months to conceive, even in a normally fertile couple. No doubt this is the reason for the delay, not side effects from the IUD.

Had it removed in May of 09 and i'm now 14 weeks pregnant. So a year and 2ish months.

If you're having sex it shouldn't take long at all but if you're not having sex it could take a while...
