I would take the kids and grandbabies to Disney World - come home and read books to them grandbabies and have the kids over for dinner often. Spend as much time as possible with my family

If i found out i was dying and recieved the money i wouldnt let them have it til i died.
simple i would invest it into an ISA with a stupidly excellent interest rate that nwould guarantee a huge sum of money after a certain time and would let them have it in my will but only allow its worth to be released and spread among the children once the time had elapsed instructing whoever my solicitor would be not to notify them until that time would come.
also this poayment wouldnt really be given out until i died anyway so really a bit pointless dreaming this for my kids
but that is what i would do.

My ex husband's brother was in this situation, and he didn't splash out but had some sort of modest holiday, even though he wasn't feeling too bad then. He has since passed away.
I don't know what I'd do..... the psychological impact of knowing i was going to die might well put me off the usual thrill of planning a holiday. I really don't even particularly want to imagine such a scenario.

Realistically you go wherever it is feasible for you to get to - most people with a critical illness thats paid out dont exactly feel up to a 10 hour + flight !! It doesnt matter where - as long as its fairly peaceful and gives lots of nice memories to your loved ones with you. How do I know - I lost my best friend to Cancer and he was in exactly this situation xx

I personally would feel happier leaving that money for them in an interest-earning account. This would not stop me from spending some quality time with my children, going to a park or a forest, with a picnic, etc.
But providing for your children, and having them discover after your death that you had thought of them, is to me the best way of showing them you love them.

No i would put the money into a high interest account for my kids that they could withdraw when they turned 21 so at least I'd know that they at least had an even chance of success in the future .

I am torn here. Are you saying this is the awful situation yu find yourself in or a loved one does? If this is not the case and you are just asking for a laugh its at best lame. Hawever will give you benefit of doubt and assume this is your sad predicament.
I would drive across America with my loved ones, see how far I could get. I couldnt do Disney, it would shorten my life.

I would make sure my children are setup for life ,like a college fond etc. and live out the last days day by day and get my life in order so people i leave behind don't have to clean up my mess
