First find out what it is you do best and go from there. Just cause you were a home maker does not mean you are without knowledge. If you are artistic try to find work in that area. If you are the worlds best housekeeper look for a job cleaning somewhere. Like writing letters? Go check out a job where someone may need help. If cooking is your favorite thing then try applying at a nursing home or hospital as dietary aide to start with. Write down everything you do well on a list and decide what things you have listed you like doing or are good at and choose from there a job that may coincide.
Also check in your area and see what training programs they have out there. Ask at the Social Service department and the job places that are local to your area. Good luck!

Well unskilled work is normaly cleaning or factory which is ok to get you a bit of money. Once you have your computer quals you could try basic office work and build up from there. You could also try local supermarkets and shoop work as well. A good idea though is to do some voluntary work somewhere as this would give you some experience. You could try your local volunteer bureau for this or ask the citizens advice. Good Luck!

Try a temp agency, like iforce, acloche, adecco... they will be able to place you in a job that's good for you... otherwise if you are a "people person" try customer service (a manager at a store, a call center if you can type) a lot of those places train you. other than that you could check the classifieds of local papers... they usually say their requirements & qualifications, and you can see what sounds interesting. Good luck!

Have you heard of Google Adsense program? You can make some legitimate money if you have a blog at Blogger.com of a free website like Google pages which will allow you to publish Google Adsense. http://tashi.web.design.googlepages.com/website-sponsor

It's very personal and it depends on how you define a good career or business. First, set a goal for what? do you want in life. Plan what you will do to reach your goal.

I always tell people this, 'You can make money if you can create website or blogs'. by providing free and good information.

I'm 41 now, work from home in shorts and T-shirts and sometimes topless. I set my target as low as to make 1 dollar/page/day. I strive to create a new page for my websites everyday but I have all the freedom I need and making money 24/7 on the internet with Google Adsense and some affiliate programs. The only thing that tie me down is 'how much income I want or need'. Because the more websites and traffic I have will determine how much income I can much.

Anyone who can create websites or blogs to provide lots of good information can make money from Google Adsense. Blogger.com and Google pages lets you create blogs for free and allows you to make money too.

You can make money by joining me or Google as a publisher and publishing Google Adsense on your websites. If someone clicks on those ads, you will earn money.
I'll be working on this website http://tashi.web.design.googlepages.com soon after I'm done with my client's website.

Go to Monster.com and put all your information in, then check for jobs in your area that you might be comfortable with and apply. You will probably get job offers from employers on Monster.
P.S. Don't say you don't have skills. Managing 3 kids and a home and bills gives you experience in lots of catagories.

well for starters you need to brush up on english and typing- clearly! wow! "somethinks" oh my god your old English teacher just rolled in her grave. Go to beauty school- salon hours work good for mom's and you'll meet lots of great people doing hair and you never know you might meet someone who will offer you something great down the road like steal you away to be their assistant at a huge law firm or something. If you are alive and have to hands go to mcdonalds or dunkin donuts if you need help that bad don't be picky, be hardworking and it'll pay off.

You could apply to a local hotel for housekeeping. Being a mom, I am sure you have lots of experience with making beds, and cleaning! That is the kind of job always looking for people who are efficient, and willing to really work!

there was a programme on t.v. about a girl who was a checkout woman and in the t.v. show she became a doctor. it was so easy. she only had two kids though !
apart from the jokes, you need to speak to the job centre and apply through agencies (not for the doctor job)
