I always try to use EE bulbs, but my new house has loads of dimmer switches. Are there any energy efficient bulbs that it's ok to use?

You cannot use compact fluorescent bulbs (The BC or ES type) with dimmers, but you can use 2D and PL/PLC types in luminaires IF they are fitted with dimmable HF ballasts, this may involve an extra connection, so may not be practical.

They do help the mild in spite of the indisputable fact that the capacity saver has to warmth up interior so attempt switching it on finished blast the even as the mild has been on for 5min or so use the dimmer this can help. If it nonetheless doesn't help purchase some dimmer lamps they have a tendency to run low voltage because the bub will be and also you wont have it on finished capacity.

There are ways of dimming flourescent's but you don't want to try that. The best thing is to purchase standard lamps rated for 150 or more volts. Since your electricity in your house averages about 115, it fluxs at times between 110-120V, the 150V lamp will not burn at full brightness. Your savings comes from not having to replace bulbs that often.

I don't like dimmers, they make noise, they emit EMF heavily, and for the novice, they are a ***** to install on a two switch lamp.
