The talktalk lures people into the contracts by putting AD to offer free broadband. But they put the small print to say " Although we will put measures in place to ensure that you receive all the existing services you chose when signing up to us, you should be aware that there is no guarantee that this will happen or that these measures will be effective all of the time. Therefore, all times, dates and periods given for performance of or connection to the services are given in good faith but without any responsibility or liability to you in the event of a failure to perform on our part.” How clever they are!! They can promise the free broadband and charge you for this as one of the package, but will never connect you without being punished. I am one of the victims. Can a law worker tell me how this can happen in Britain? What is my position to deal with them?

I'm pretty sure that there is another clause which says that if they cannot connect you within 28 days of your "Live Date", then you can leave for free.

i dont think it actually means they wont provide the services. all it means is that they cant guarantee the service will be set up in the time they say or that things can go wrong that they arnt responsible for. they are just covering themselves because its a bt line they use for the broadband.

It sounds like a bunch of B.S. Leagalease. You maybe able to sue them in a lower court as a civil case. Just because they write that stuff doesn't mean it will hold up in court. They write that in hopes of keeping you from sueing them. Let a judge decide.
