We couldn't quite decide, so we had three in a row, greedy I know, but what the hey, only intend to be married once. Our first was Amazed by Lonestar, second was Don't wanna miss a thing by Aeorsmith and third was Captured by Brian Kennedy. Three really great songs that just summed it up to us. Good luck choosing and have a fantastic wedding and an even more fantastic marriage.

From this moment Shania Twain.
From This Moment On

(I do swear that I'll always be there.
I'd give anything and everything and I will always care.
Through weakness and strength, happiness
and sorrow, for better or worse,
I will love you with every beat of my heart.)

From this moment life has begun
From this moment you are the one
Right beside you is where I belong
From this moment on

From this moment I have been blessed
I live only for your happiness
And for your love I'd give my last breath
From this moment on

I give my hand to you with all my heart
Can't wait to live my life with you, can't wait to start
You and I will never be apart
My dreams came true because of you

From this moment as long as I live
I will love you, I promise you this
There is nothing I wouldn't give
From this moment on

You're the reason I believe in love
And you're the answer to my prayers from up above
All we need is just the two of us
My dreams came true because of you

From this moment as long as I live
I will love you, I promise you this
There is nothing I wouldn't give
From this moment
I will love you as long as I live
From this moment on

I'm years from being married but there is one song that I love hear - you look wonderful tonight by Eric Clapton. Part of the lyrics:
I feel wonderful
Because I see the love light in your eyes
And the wonder of it all
Is that you just don't realise
How much I love you

Its all about how you feel so fantastic because your in the company of the person you love. Its old and classy and I think you'll love it.

I used to run discos and M.C. at weddings.

I am still in awe at a newlywed couple who approached me with their bridal waltz song. I questioned their choice but could not really influence them as it is really a personal thing and they had their hearts set on this song.

This is my advice to you and your partner. It should be a song with meaning to you both and hopfully something you can hear in years ahead and still enjoy.

Please don't make the same choice as this couple who danced in front of all their family and friends on the day of their union to the strains of Michael Boltons' "I Said I Loved You But I Lied". Classic.

You can't beat Frank Sinatra... The Way You Look Tonight, The Best is Yet to Come etc.

Congrats on your impending nuptials!

cant beat any of the suggestions sofar. we had sweet child of mine by G,n,R.

the question reminds me of a story I heard.

A dj is asked to do the reception for this couple in about 1993 and he asks what song they want for their first dance and this is not long after Robin Hood, Prince of thieves/Bryan Adams so they say Robin Hood.

It comes to the reception and they take to the floor and suddenly the room is filled with the theme to the 50s tv show you know the one

"Robin hood ,Robin hood
riding through the glen
Robin hood ,Robin hood
With his merry men............

You're still the one - Shania Twain

We're a Miracle - Christina Agiulera (very slow romantic song)

Really it depends on what kind of music you like. I could go on and on with R&B songs, or Country songs. Tell us what "kind" of song you're looking for.

We used "La Vie en Rose" - the Louis Armstrong version.

Robbie Williams' "Angels" seems a popular choice as well.
