I'm dumb founded by the 'rang de basanti' generation's lack of history knowledge. I wish to talk abt the two posts here
1) Shabbash says-------->
"he was two faced. ........... he was the pioneer behind the partition of Hindustan."
He was not two faced like today's politicians. He was a true Hindu Why i say that
a) he always quoted Kabir ( a Hindu/Muslim fakir)
b) his compassionate behaviour to the countrymen and humans in general show that and nobody beats Hindus in their compassion who consider each living being as a form of god
c) Yes he was Hindu to the core that is why he agreed to give a huge amount of money to newly formed Pakistan for the rehabilitation of uprooted Muslims. it was because of his this action of giving money, he was shot dead by a fanatic of a Hindu militant organisation
2) Sidhart says----->
"a shame on the name of a male...you don have to beg for something that is yours...if somebody steals your mom you don go beg for her you go snatch her back."..

If you are such a male, go and snatch the land in Kashmir back from Pakistan. or if your male hormones are bursting outta your body snatch it from Chinese occupying since 1962. You may not be even knowing how is the map of India as shown by some other countries ( not shown in your Indian textbooks or news papers )
----> "he was a coward who knew nothing about patriotism.".
If you talk of pain, outta of two options of hitting back or taking the punches without retaliating, the one of taking the punches without retaliating is more pain full physically and mentally but needs steely determination of what you want and a coward can not face such a pain only a great person ( greatest ) can bear and face that.
A person declaring to the whole world that he is going to break the law of nation after walking 1000s of km and then starts walking to do what he declared can certainly not be called as chosen by you.
------> "his eyes opened about the fate of the country just because he was racilly discriminated in africa..".
The train incident was one discrimination he faced in Africa where otherwise he was quite well off as a practising lawyer. It was sufficient to prevoke him. But here in India at the time there were numerous incidents of discrimination and there were many people who suffered such discrimination but all were fighting against British empire in an unorganized way and could not mobilze the masses aginst britishers. They all needed a karishmatic leader to inspire and guide them
-----> "bhagat singh had this dream of free nation right from childhood..."
I deeply respect Bhagat singh He also believed in not hurting any human life. I say that for the reason that the bomb which he hurled in the parliament was thrown in the air and after that he never made any attempt to run away
-----> "gandhi s patriotism is just a manifestation of his revenge against the british cause of his selfish reasons"..
What selfishness you talk when person wore simply a loinclothe Britishers were politicking any issue nicely and he was having different options any time but because public interest were foremost he simply refused.
----> "patriotism is just a manifestation of his revenge against the british"
To move masses against a particular cause needs a great trait in understanding each and everybody who is a part of the mass and if masses are convinced about your selfess intention then only they will listen and do what you say and ask them to do.
I simply dont buy this crap that just because he hated Britishers he came tio India started shouting slogans and people moved after him...

Gandhi was very wise, and knew his opponents, the British, very well. His non-violent protests worked precisely because the British are civilized and would not simply gun him down. They were as aware as he was that if they did, they would be making a revered martyr out of him. So he held the moral upper hand. And he knew them well enough to know that moral judgment mattered to them; their reputation as civilized people was precious to them.

And he won. He won because they were civilized.
