I've been receiving so many emails in my other accounts regarding online campaigns in banning animes. I've voiced out my protest against those behind such campaigns time and again. Sometimes, I get tired reasoning out with people who can't even have an open mind.

The people who like anime are letting other people know what is going on in their imagination. Instead of just plain text, the pictures that go with it add a special effect that could not be conveyed in any other way.

Anime caters to a variety of audiences. Some are made for kids, others for teenagers, while some are strictly for adults. My brothers and I also watch Nick and I like what they did for Treasure Planet and other computer animated movies by Disney, Pixar, and Dreamworks. I like anime due to the intricacies and details of the illustrations (like the hair lines for X or Angel Sanctuary and great CGs and sounds (it seems they use an orchestra for Escaflowne) it seems very challenging. Some have cute storylines that you might want to follow just like soaps. ^.^ Unlike in comic books or other types of cartoons wherein the lead role belongs to super heroes. Anime characters doesn't all need super powers. Yes some do, but what they have is more character and personal style, that's why I think most people could relate to your average guy or girl. They also infuse funny stuff out of nowhere when the story is starting to be way too serious and still manage to get away from it. There are also anime that should not be shown. I don't think its a question of where it came from (e.g. Japan or US), they also subcontract these sort of artworks from other countries, and they also carry other shows in Japan's TV not just 24-7 anime as others might have thought. Its about choosing what suits you best and what is right or wrong. Like news there can be tabloids and large newspapers. As much as possible you choose which one is more reliable and still manage to entertain you and just disregard those that you don't need.

Their cause is lost, it's sad that they don't quite understand why. If what they were saying was true about anime failing, then I doubt that it would have had the ongoing impact that it has all ready made, it's not a fad and it's not going anywhere. Secondly, there will always be people who see things a certain way, it's called "opinions", they can't change the fact that they dislike anime no more than I can change how I feel about it. I'll just continue to support anime, inevitably it will receive its due recognition.

First, DON'T go solely by the crap that Cartoon Network puts out, or other American networks.
There are A LOT of really good animes out there just like there are a lot of really crappy ones. The ones who are against anime have usually only seen the crappy ones, so they don't have a good sense of what good anime is.
Movies like Akira, Ninja Scroll, Vampire Hunter D, Robotech, Martian Successor Nadesico, Appleseed, Ghost in the Shell, among many others are classics.
They have good stories, great animation, and most have good writing.
Also, anime, just like movies, covers a wide range of genres from sci-fi, action/adventure, romantic comedy, drama, horror, etc.
There's something for everyone. Ya just gotta look for it.

I love anime simply bacause it's great! it doesn't have to have a reason each person has their own understanding and views about anime's it's just that others tend to do it totally out of line, loving or liking anime's doesn't necessarily mean that you should forget about the real world sometimes it's just an escape when the world is totally bugging the crap out of you, and besides it has so many genre's to choose from, that's why people love it so much.

I love anime becuase of everything about it! The animation is beautiful, the characters are unique, and the storylines are engaging. Need more reasons? There are no issues about the actors aging too fast for their characters, it's a far more unique interest than MadTV or The OC, and there's no waiting for the next season to start showing new episodes.

Why because theres something for every mood your in, romantic action drama etc. I've watched since I was 6, and animes are better than the american animation and even better than some hollywood movies. You can sit down and watch an anime and forget for a while whats going on in your life and be apart of something you like.
