When they cheat.
When they don't treat her the way she should be treated.
When they become demanding and piggish.
When they expect respect but don't show respect.
When they treat her like a child instead of a girlfriend.
I could go on for hours...I'm having this issue right now. :( My man used to be awesome and then it was like he figured he has me, he doesn't need to put on a show to try to keep me anymore. He doesn't expect that I'll go anywhere. Boy is he in for a surprise.

As someone who divorced after a 17 year marriage, I'll explain what I feel and and know to be true life partner killers: A Catastophic event. (A car accident leaving my hubby in intensive care for over a month). THEN: While Hubby is still in dire life crisis AND unconscience, body broken in so many ways that he is never going to recover fully, a hurricane hit our home and destroyed 7 years of hard work for restoration. and the loss of 2 very dear pets (17years with both). Unable to work, walk, make love, he let a brother (That I had to Back off from Taking over our lives as I Delt with Lawyers, Insurances (Both Home and One Car Totaled) FEMA (DID NOTHING). He Gave up and ran away home to his Angry Brother and allowed him to make all of his desicions. Abandoning me while I worked 24/7 on Getting Millions of Medical Bills Paid in full, Getting House insurance Straight (He then embezzeled $74,000.00 from me attempting to hide it with false paperwork... I could go on and on about Violence, Stalking, Stealing, Burglering, ... NEED I GO ON? I would have spent the rest of my life with this man 1 minute before he awoke a TOTAL STRANGER.

Sometimes it is caused by spending too much time with eachother but if you just give each other some space and do what you love like your hobbies.

I think one of the main causes of this among men and women is that we don't guard our emotions. We let them lead us to attachment and involvement before we even get to know stuff about the other's background which dating can allow us to discover.

- she gave and gave, until she realized he doesn't deserve it
- he's a pig
- he finds pleasure in causing her pain and playing with her feelings
- he's sadistic
- he toys with her love for him
- he's just a cold hearted as*hole
- he doesn't respect her
- she doesn't feel cherished and loved with him
- she never really loved him
- he demands that she humiliates herself for him to love her
etc etc etc
or it could be something really simple, like:
- she's premenstrual and he pushed it instead of wising up and keeping his mouth shut
- she's feeling labor pain and the guy responsible for it is standing there in all good heatlh and she hears him joking with his friends about how "he did good".
