BIOS is limited im not able to change much. Can I download a new bios or what are my options. Is it impossible to disable the SMART on my laptop. I am using PHEONIX BIOS. thanks.

Found this article...it sounds quite simple.
The SMART drive operates above BIOS...which is why BIOS has no function to control it.

As a last resort you can take out the system battery for about fifteen minutes and then put it back in and the bios should let you disable the smart drive which is apart of your preinstalled hard drive. Im also sure you cant download a bios program.; as it is included with your system files.
