why would a supposed Christian make another Christian look bad?

Question

I met my Bf's family at Christmas dinner last year and his sister in law told everyone I was that her brother in law( my bf), and I were going to have a child. I was not even sure If I liked him much less have sex with him, She made it look as though I was a tramp. She didn't even know me except for in school and i didn't lose my virginity utill I was 21 to my ex-husband. She judged me before she even knew me and she calls herself a Christian.

No true Christian would say such as that. This is someone that needs your prayers...and maybe a talking to. Maybe both you and your BF should approach her about this inappropriate remark!

this is why I gave up going to church young and decided to do it in my own time. I don't call myself a christian but I do believe in god, going to church was really crap cos all the people there were exactly the same, really scandalous and the biggest gossips I've known to date, I tried going back to another church in a different state in my late teens but no luck. My advise, who cares what they think! you don't have to prove yourself to anybody.

It is the beauty of Christianity! You can do whatever you want, say whatever you want, commit whatever you want, and you still get to go to heaven if you "believe".

Your b/f's sister is a hypocrite. Does she have her name engraved on the front pew at church? That's where hypocrites like to sit with their holier-than-thou attitides.

maybe she thinks that you're not serious about your relationship with your boyfriend. just take your time, im sure she's just too overprotective over her brother. one day, she will see about how nice and loving you are to him and will eventually accept you!
