You can't just say there's nothing on TV for a male audience; there's nothing on TV that appeals to your interests, there is a difference.
And as for the answer above stating that the UK is only only country which has a TV licence, this is wrong. Austria certainly does, and I'm sure many other countries do to.

Because most of the programmes men are interested in are generally too risque to put on terrestrial TV as they'll involve scantily clad or nude women !!!.

shame,same for women too,we are not all obsessed with soaps,football and reality tv either. Its not too much to ask for a decent flm that is not a repeat once a week seeing we are the only country to pay a tv licence (UK)

There's plenty on terrestial if you look! I love American programmes. They are not for only women.
