If you mean monetary value then yes they are very valuable. I vaguley remember one of the early payments from the National Trust to a distant relative of Winstion Churchill (himself worth a few bob) was funded by the lottery it was for letters written by churchill to various people and the national trust paid over a million £s for them. It caused quite a stir at the time.

It depends on the quality of the documents and who signatories are, take them to an Auction House to get them valued.
I have used Phillips Auctions for valuation (although it was some time ago) they were very helpful.

I have a number of southern leaders, letters. notes .documents. signed.mostly, they grow in value monetarily every year.as they do in my heart.God bless the south and her people.
