Can any body give me any details about Mr. Vanchinathan Freedom fighter. I will have to prepare an essay about him.

Vanchinathan is a martyr of the Indian freedom movement. He lived in Shencotta of then Travancore State. Vanchi shot then Tirunelveli district collector Ash at point-blank range when his train halted at the nearby Maniyachi junction, en route to Madras on June 17th, 1911 and committed suicide there after. The railway station has since been named as Vanchi-Maniyachi.

Google search for more details. He is a freedom fighter, who shot at the British collector Tirunelveli district, Ash, for being repressive on the Indian masses and after the shooting incident, he killed himself. There is a Railway Station near T'veli, in Tamilnadu, named after Vanchinathan.
