Bikes are exciting good for posing etc. but they are more dangerous than cars in general. Stick with the car. You can have a lot more fun in one than a bike unless you are more of a loner, in which case a bike would probably be best.

I have both. Driving a car is great in the winter time when it is cold and raining. And also if you have somewhere important to go to like a meeting or an interview. I use my car licence for working with.
My bike licence is purely for pleasure. There is some much freedom you can have on a motor bike, which you will never experience in a car. Obviously on a bike though the old bill will try to wear you down!!

There is no comparison really,BIKE BIKE BIKE !!! I have been riding for about 17 years now and have only just got my first car.True ,cars are nice and warm, dry and a bit more comfy, but the freedom you get on a bike is second to none.!!! Cars do have their uses i suppose, getting to work at 5am in the winter is a bit of a challenge on a bike, especially having to do 35 miles each way in the snow and wind. But for pure enjoyment, freedom and the feeling one gets when on a bike,it just cant be beat.

Take your bike test anyway,
Buy a bike for next spring/summer and have some fun,
then decide what you like best. I
f you get a bike now coming into winter it might put you off bikes for good. (ie, cold, rain, ice)

It depends on where you live and where you have to go. If you have a big family the bike is hardly the best transport for them. Why not go for the bike test, you might be able to have both in the future. Drive safely.

I have both. Each has its merits. Without the bike I wouldn't be able to get to work in 30 minutes each day. Without the car I wouldn't be able to transport big stuff or take friends and family anywhere.
But if you really wanted to be a biker, you wouldn't have to ask this question...

FUN VALUE MOTORBIKE .
FOR SAFETY AND USEFULNESS DEFINATLY A CAR.
YOU HAVE FOUR WHEELS INSTEAD OF TWO IF IT RAINS AS IT MOST CERTAINLY WILL IN THE UK YOUR DRY AND IF YOU HAVE A ACCIDENT YOUR MORE LIKELY TO WALK AWAY NO COMPARISON REALLY GET A CAR.
HO AND BY THE WAY YOU CAN ONLY RIDE A SMALL BIKE FOR A YEAR AND YOU HAVE TO DO A TEST GET YOUR EXPERIENCE ON THE ROAD WITH FOUR WHEELS.
P.S I DONT KNOW WHY YOU HAVE GOT A THUMBS DOWN ITS A REASONABLE QUESTION TO ASK.

It is safer driving a car, but it's quicker riding a bike as you can take "short -cuts"

Both are great.
A motorbike is good for getting around on, if you're on own.
A car is handy for doing your shopping, or taking stuff up the recycle bank, or if you have company or it's raining very hard etc.
A bicycle is also good, good exercise, fun, cheap.
In my opinion there is no "best" means of getting around.
