i would be proud if I had done as well as mr B....

i think he is one of our greatest leaders - only succeded by Clement Atlee.

so many people yearn for the confrontational style of Mrs Thatcher but can you imagine the state we would be in now without Tony's diplomacy in the Middle east!!!

i dread the day he goes - and dare not even think of who will take over!

I dont. I like him. They dont say its lonely at the top for no reason. Unfortunately all good things come at a price. That is the price he has to pay to be at the top. He knows this and he can handle the baggage that comes with his job. He will step down next year anyway and i'd bet he'll still have a terriffic career similar to Bill Clinton.

Now Gordan Brown on the other hand. You think Blair has it tough. He is in for a hard time. I do hate Brown - he just comes across as a complete muppet. He is so useless he has to harass Blair to hand him PM office on a plate. I reckon when Blair goes so will New Labour and Conservatives will be back for another while.

I am not a UK voter either as I am N. Irish.

The fact is Blair has led Britain astray. He came in with promises of no sleaze - we have the sleaziest government ever!
He promised a better NHS - we have a health system that is failing many people especially our elderly who without them we wouldn't have had an health system!
He took us into a war under false pretences and has never admitted he was wrong.
Someone earlier in the answers questioned the fact that people voted for him - true but only half the country voted - an apathy that needs to be changed and quickly before we have another all teeth and no action politician taking bLIARs place.

its not a case of how i would have handled it and i take it you are referring to the war and the state of this country, I'm not prime minister and when a person takes on that position he should know how to handle any problem that arises with all his aides around him. Now personally i do not hate Mr Blair infact i think he was doing a good job until before hostilities started and from then on he seems to have lost control and is not listening to people who want our men back from the far east and also get this country sorted out and get it back to the Britain as it always was

Because he was voted in by people who thought he would represent them. Instead, as with all politicians, once voted in as PM he has done whatever he wanted without any regard to the wishes of the electorate. He has been proved to have lied and his actions have cost the lives of thousands of innocent civilians in Iraq. When our troops pull out of Iraq and leave a state of civil war we will have caused thousands more people to have good reason to bear a grudge against Britain and will suffer the consequences for many years to come.

Millenium dome!(the money spent on this joke could of got every homless person in this country a house built for them.) Weapons of mass Destruction(the whole students document fiasco) wifes dodgy dealings with property and then gettin all weepy and talkin about being a busy mum(disgusting to use the kids in this way).Bush recently calling the PM "hey Blair" rather than tony only goin further to demostrate his lack of respect.

Politicans like blair have forgotten that like never before we have instant access to a million times for info about what they get up to than what our parents ever did.still they insist on talkin to us like we are stupid.

How about the fact that under his leadership the Labour party have introduced more than 3,000 new prohibitions, that is more than one thing banned a day. They are strangling the country with laws, regulations and general operational stupidity - and all this manages to do is give them things that they can fine us for - they are just modern day Robber Barons.

People hate Tony Blair and G.W. Bush for the same reason. Because they made a bold and brave move to secure democracy and freedom.

Take a look at the largest critics, they beneath their bold false facade either cowards or socialist wishing to limit freedom and sell out to the Islama Fascist.

because of the lies he has been caught out in time and time again, for Iraq , because not only will he not listen to the electorate he also doesn`t give a toss about the opinions of his own party because if the law does`t fit his agenda he tries to change it to get his own way ,for humiliating this country in front of the entire world , and most of all for that self satisfied smirk that a whole lot of people would love to slap of his face
