What do you think can be done to restore us to a moral, responsible Country?

Good question, but I think you need to be more specific. Otherwise, you're going to have a bunch of juvenile responses like "Get rid of the Republicans and Bush!"
My answer is, it starts with one. Each person needs to simply decide to be better. And then they need to raise their kids to be better. And hope it continues.
So maybe it won't change overnight...but maybe we can hope for a better world for our great-great-great grandchildren.

I do believe that the West is in moral crisis. The religion is getting more and more irrelevant, and there isn't much of a substitute that I see. However, USA is not a tiny bit less moral than any country in the world regardless of weather Iraq War is a mistake or not. Example: Spain was in coalition until the terrorist act. Than they withdrew. Was it because they are more "moral" or because they were not willing to sacrifice? Than who is more moral, Americans that are more willing to sacrifice or Spaniards?

i think compared to a lot of other countries, we are already pretty moral
