where will a nice place b to stay for about 3-4 days in the cape? We are taking my daughter on a train ride from Durban to cape town and want to stay in cape town for 3-4 days. We have never been to the cape so i am clueless. and the cost must not be to high plz

hi, your best bet would be to stay at a backpackers lodge. They are not scaly/scummy - they are very reasonable. have a look on yahoo . This is the first one i found........http://www.tiscover.co.za/za/guide
If you are only going to be Cape Town for a few days, try and stay in the city bowl - there a literally hundreds in cape town, especially long street. cape town city is very safe, walking around at night not a problem !! I stay +- 45km outside cape town, otherwise the missus, myself & kids would be more than willing to help for a few days.

as i said, if u r only here for a few days, go central city...then u can: go up table mountain, go to waterfront, shop...go to beach etc

Thats a tough one! Any accomodation in Cape Town, especially at this time of year will be pretty expensive im sure...hmm...some people rent out parts of their house which may be reasonably cheap. Im not sure, sorry!

there is the hoilday inn, in the center of town or the albert and victrorai on the waterfront
