Plants and trees have no central nervous system, and not a brain in the way animals and humans have. You could say the different parts of a plant work together because they are programmed to do so. So you could say the coordination is set in the genes of the plant, which make out the different parts.
There are people who say that plants have feelings and emotions too, just like animals and humans. Maybe this is true, but not in the way that is scientifically discernable and not in the way that humans do. Plants do not have brains, hormones, a heartrate, or psychosomatics the way that people do. But plants are 'programmed' to react to their environment, so maybe they can sense more then humidity, heat and light, who is to say? If they do you could call that psychosomatics too, but it would mean having to alter the definition of a psyche.

Simple creatures like earth worms and complex creatures like humans need brains (nerve tissue) to communicate with nerve systems that operate muscles, sense heat and light and touch (needed for motion), etc. Plants and trees do not have nerve systems and are not burdened with brains. If a tree saw an approaching axe, it would be horrified but have no ability to get out of the way. Instead of brains, plants like sunflowers have the ability to move flowers to point at the sun (sunflower!). The plant's cells have limited ability to sense the sun and expand or contract other cells to respond (but not enough active cells to get a headache?).

The brain of a plant, which trees are considered plants., are above ground, a tree has heartwood, therefore it has brainwood, the brain is the bark. it can see what is going on around it. it can feel as well. when you talk a plant in your home healthy, you cant be talking to the roots because they are buried. plants can be boys and girls too, why do you think that only some can attain fruit? the jewels of a tree are the leaves, thats how they can touch each other, and spore each other.

Plants and trees do not have a brain but their roots are what coordinated their actions.

they do have a brain. their brain is the nucleus which is found in the cells that make up the plants. the nucleus contains all the information needed to coordinate the functions of the organism

Plants and trees do not have brain, the co-ordination is brought about by chemicals substances called phytohormones which are synthesized in the cells wherever it is required.

I think the cells of the plant tissues are having brain sort of thing. Each cell performs it's task in co-ordination with other type of cells and thus plants survive.

plants and trees do not have a brain!! its activities are co ordinated by many cells and tossues present in them such as the meristematic tissues(responsible for growth when they divide), xylem and phloem tissue(responsible for conduction of food and water).. most of the activities are controlled by the leaf!!

nucleus of the plant cell acts as abrain of the plant because it controls all the vital activities of the plant through nucleic acids and nucleic acid directed protein synthesis
