I used to work in a pub and after a hard night serving would often go on to a club afterwards and many times turn up the following day feeling a bit worse for wear! My problem, like yours was that I always seemed to suffer from a dicky tummy! My boss introduced me to a tried and tested hang over cure which to this day works like nothing else. Take a clean glass and pour a couple of drops of Angostura bitters into it, then roll the glass on it's side until it is completely coated in the angostura. Empty out any leftover bitters and then fill the glass with soda water and then knock it back.
Angostura bitters can be found in supermarkets and good off licenses. It is rather expensive but a small bottle lasts for ages and if you plan on going to a lot of parties it is well worth it!
I have worked in numerous bars since then and whenever a customer appeared feeling a bit ropey from the night before I always gave them this remedy and everyone I ever gave it to said it made them feel much better. I don't know why this works but it really does settle a queasy tum although if your really bad it may come straight back up but either way you would feel better. After your stomach settles it is vital that you eat something and it's probably a good idea to drink lots of isotonic drinks such as lucozade sport to replace lost fluids and salts.
Hope you feel better soonXXX.

No lectures, but I am amazed at your capacity, old fellow!
Oh, and ignore the advice to drink more right now, unless you want to double the pain eventually.
The issue here is poisoning. Alcohol (delightful intoxicant that it is) is a poison. You have ingested rather a lot of it, polluting your liver, kidneys and nervous tissue (including your brain).
The solution (other than time) is fairly straight-forward: lots and lots of fluids to flush the toxins (water, tea, fruit juice), salt tablets to avoid issues from the flushing (!), vitamin B-12 in a double-MDA dose, and an analgesic - I prefer "Midol" which can deal with the fluid imbalance issues.
When you can stand it, eat something non-spicy that you like. And next time try to remember the old adage: "Grape after grain will cause you no pain, but grain after grape and you'll regret the mistake." Drinking tequila and some vodka after a half-bottle of port wine was a big mistake.
Feel better, booboo.

Well done! I have this problem on a relatively regular basis myself - I find taking an Alkaseltzer helps settle the sick, washing machine stomach, followed by eggs on toast. Eggs have proteins in them which are apparently proven to help fight a hangover. Drink plenty of water (I find carbonated best) but not too quickly or you're likely to vom it straight back up.
And btw - although Grendle was full of helpful ideas I always thought it was 'beer and wine feel fine, wine and beer feel queer' which is the other way round. Hey ho - if you drink enough of both in what ever order you're bound to feel a bit ropey! Feel better soon and do it all again tomorrow night!

My best hangover cure is to avoid one. Before going to bed, drink two or three large glasses of water real quick and right after one another. Don't go to the washroom, just go right to bed. Let your body absorb all of that water into your kidneys and the only thing that you'll wake up with, is a real urge to go pee.

Many people ‘swear by’ a Bloody Mary in the morning as the best cure. In case you want to try it…here is the recipe. You’ll need one and a quarter ozs (40mls) Vodka, a dash of Lemon juice, a dash of Worcestershire, three drops Tabasco, Pepper, Salt, and Tomato juice.
Take a tall glass and add crushed ice. Then add the spices and then the Vodka. Fill the glass with tomato juice and stir. If you have time (you may be feeling so bad you need to drink it in a hurry! ☺) make it look good by garnishing it with a celery stick and a slice of lime or lemon.
right as rain in no time!

Yeah, been there, done that. I find that an ice-cream soda (coke with a scoop of vanilla) does the trick for me all the time and I consistently serve it up to hungover friends with much praise. The dairy in the ice-cream recoats your stomach and the fizz gives you those burps after a while that make you feel better, the way down deep ones, and the sugar picks you up. Warm lemonade with vanilla is good too so that it is not so harsh on the stomach. If you can convince someone else to make it for you, it works even better.

Fair play to yer fella, sounds like a blinder, whenever I've done anything like that, payback comes in the evening after a few hours kip but guess what, all your pals are back in the pub by then, a full English breakfast sorts me out before getting your head down, then get back on it, your only here once.

My doc is one of my best friends and we have had this discussion before. He says the only way to get over a hangover - disgusting as it sounds - is to have a huge fried breakfast!
Good luck and I know you didnt want a lecture.....but watch yourself.......that is just too much drink!
