My husband and I recently did a DITY move and have not been reimbersed as of yet. Just wondering how long it usuall takes after you submit all the paperwork to get paid and when you do get paid for it will it show up on the LES or is it something that is totally seperate? And if it is on the LES, how is it listed?

You will USUALLY be paid within 4 weeks after submission of the paperwork. It will not show up on the LES, it should just show up in the bank account.

At least, that's what happened the last time I did such a move in 2000.

We did a DITY last year and it took 8 weeks. If it's been more than 4 weeks, go to TMO and make sure they got all the paperwork. Things get lost :) The money won't be on an LES, it's magic money and just kinda shows up in your account when they process it. I personally will NEVER do a DITY again. Too much hassle and the pay isn't wnough. They make it sounds like you'll walk away with all this money and it's quite a shock when you find out how much you actually get paid.

It's not listed on your LES. It just kinda shows up in your account one day...about the time you have forgotten about cause it's been a while ;-) I think for ours it took 6 or 8 weeks. We're doing a move now though and had part of the money fronted to us and it only took 6 days (4 working ones) so I'm hopeful the rest won't take as lng as before.

Been retired too long, but when I was active duty, the most it took was a month to get paid for any of that. TDY was usually the nect payday.

it is paid seperately and is not on the LES. expect it to take 4-6 weeks on average.
