No problems at all. But she'll need to bear in mind that the colour will be two tones darker than the brown colour featured on the package cover.

Black dye actually has blue highlights. I would take it back and go for a dark brown. You never stated your hair color and that is an important issue. Less time does not mean less except when you are going lighter. Don't believe thats the isssue either. Toll free number on the box will take you right to the people that can -without a doubt - answer this question before you make a BIG boo-boo.

If your sister has naturally black hair, she should go get her hair colored professionally. It is not likely that the color will take. A stylist may have to lighten her hair first and then apply the color. I have dark brown hair and tried to color it. I left the color on extra long since my hair is really thick and it still did not take. My stylists says I need a two-step process. Your sister probably will as well. Besides, that is the only way she will be sure she will get the color she is going for and not something that a stylist will need to correct later. Good luck.

If she's going light brown, she may need to bleach her hair first. She'd better consult a professional.

No you must distroy the pigment first and this damages the hair anyway, but if you won't listen to advise to not do it, then go to a hairdresser and have it stripped and dyed
