don't let you family or friends decide who is right for you. you go for who you really like it is your life and your choice to make, not their's.

As a person who shared a similar desire I can tell that there are various issues you will need to sort out whilst pursuing this desire.

Almost everyone will advise...please follow your heart. But I will NOT. My experience taught me that there are major cultural differences - especially social norms, which differ between Asians and Whites. There are positives both sides and I'll not discuss those in detail. But the general reaction to common family responsibilities are poles apart.

You'll be lucky if your mate eventually integrates with your family - becuase the cultures widely differ. The chances are you'll have to distance yourself from your family with time.

If you are prepared for this emotionally go for it. Else.....treat this as an infatuation and fulfill your desire with a short fling.

You shud be liking people for who they are inside and not by the colour of their skin.

Families will always protect you from people they do not know or are not accustomed to, thus the "dis-trust" in the Caucasian group. They will always believe that relationships between same groups are better as these are customs you grew up with and am familiar.

Rite now you need to take things easy and give every race, colour & religion a chance to get to know you. After you've got to know them back, then you choose.

And you lot complain that people are racist towards asians, i think your hypercritical.

Make friends with them tell your family that if they want to live in a country where white people are then they should be prepared to respect them.

I dont mean to be horrible but you wonder why you dont get any respect, and people are racist towards asians and other races, i think comments like this dont help.

Moti, Do you have a particular white person in mind, or are you attracted to them in general? If it is a fantasy of yours you should keep an open mind. You may not find a white person that you are compatible with anyway. If you meet the right person I think your family would finally accept them.

Your family will understand. If the person is great be it an alien, families usually come around. They just say that because they are afraid of some white guy taking advantage of you.

First and most important, you will have to live with your mate for the rest of your life, not your family. So do what you think is right for you and don't let them control you. Secondly, I think your view is wrong. Your soul mate can come in any color. You shouldn't be looking for her in one certain race. Just look for who she is on the inside.

Defenitely follow your own desires. You would not want to live your whole life miserably with someone whom you find unattractive.
