Mate if you're serious my son checked it out.. I can tell you there is no "Academy" for training and generally he was told that the police force like to have applicants with some life experience (hold down a job, interact with society..) Looking for 26 years plus in age,
and having a bit of maturity before applying. I can only say for Qld - don't know about other states
During that time I got the drift it's a help to stay record-free if you think seriously of making it a career.

Im sure you just have to be Australian. I mean how much training does an Aussie policeman have to have?
