can depend on what size wheels the veh has got as it was produce with 14" or 15" wheels, best bet is look on the side wall of the tyre which will give you all the details you need, ring round for a price, try your local dealer, you can get cheaper than kwikfit, Hankook is a decent budget tyre.

Why not look on the sidewall of the tyres you already have, It should say something like 185/60 14 H or 185/60HR14, and it is always best to use a matched, tread depth and make, pair front and less important a matched pair rear.
If buying new (I get mine from Scrappie on the right size wheel ready to throw on at £ 7 a time), ring round the dealers the day before as prices change weekly.
Crap Fit Thikko of "you cant get fikker than a Crap Fit Fitter" have a price match scam but they still quoted £ 350 for stuff I got for £ 260 last week, and they will sell you a wheel alignment check.
Actually to save a few bob, dont have the tyres balanced, Crap Fit will do their nut as the Balance is their profit, put new tyres on the back run it up to 70 and if there is no vibration leave them there for 2000 miles or so then put them on the front, then if they wobble or vibrate get them balanced, most tyres are within limits for balance from new and if there is a problem it is most likely to be a bent wheel, (alloys are notorious for inner rim damage ).
Look at your old tyres, if there is wear on one edge the wheel alignment may be out, although hard drivers wear the outer edge and country lanes the inner, both edges the tyre pressures are too low. Anyway dont have an alignment check unless you have severe uneven wear and if you do have the wheels set paralell, you dont need toe out or in on Motorways it just slows you down

Look at the existing tyres - the sizes are on there. It varies between models.
It's a Mk7 - don't listen when so-called experts tell you they never made a Mk7 - they most certainly did, as my local Ford garrage have verified.
If you fit cheap tyres, it may not hold the road quite as well. But then Escorts don't normally handle anyway!
