Do know what it is practiced for Muslims, but Jews and Christians believe we all decended from Adam and Eve. What ethnicity they held is unknown. However I have a theory that color diveristy may have happened at the same time as language diversity, at the Tower of Babel. However it could have been a result of people who spoke certain languages moving to areas where a darker or lighter skin pigmentation was needed for some reason and the pigmentation changed over the generations. Although if that was the case then when people moved today over the generations the pigmentation should change again, but I've not seen it. So there go that theory.

They do? It's not like Muslims are black...

Anyway, scientifically speaking black people really are the first race and all other races are just offshoots of it because the first homo sapiens were from Africa.

This is not a mainstream Islamic belief. This is akin to something that the Nations of Islam believes and I think (though not sure) that even they are beginning to quiet that down.

Sunni and Shia Muslims do not believe any such thing.

Peace and Blessings,

I don't think this was ever taught to me in Religious Studies, however ...

Science has proved that black people can have white offspring whereas white people cannot have black offspring and since all monotheist religions believe that mankind came from adam and eve or the equivilant it make perfect sense.

not sure that Muslims do believe that.

Anyway - current scientific thinking believes that humans (homo sapiens) first evolved in Africa. The recent discovery of a child's skeleton from a half human half ape species seems to add weight to this.

It is not a belief, I don't know what the first group of people looked like, but if they were black so be it, I have no problem with it. I don't know what the Qur'an has to say about it.

you are confusing all of Islam with the Nation of Islam...... which orthodox Muslims do not consider to be muslim.

in orthodox Islam all races all equal before God as the teeth of the comb and the race of Adam and Eve is not specified b/ we do not need to know it to judge their character

Asalamwalaikum
