This is Damons achievemment, not anything to do with his father, or who his father is. and it is unique in modern times, and is to do with qualifying

It is a whole season long acheivement.

OK, it's that he is the only driver in modern times to qualify on the front row of the grid for every race in a season.

OK I know it doesn't closely match schumacher's finishing every race in one season on the podium, but it's one record Schumy can't beat.

Because his Father was also the Formula 1 World Champion, in 1962 and 1968.

Graham Hill never won the Indy Car World Series, although he did win the Indianapolis 500 in 1966, during the 'British Invasion'. He also won the 24 Heures Du Mans in 1972 - becoming the first man to win the 'Triple Crown of Motorsport'.

EDIT - as you have said it has nothing to do with his Father, it must be the fact that he qualified on the front row of the grid for every race in a single season in 1996, I hope!!

I don't know of any but the only thing I can guess is.... "mistakes made when someone is behind him trying to overtake him" or "getting off track during rain"?
Just a joke, it would be interesting to find out what that could possibly be...
