I think if you look around you, you will see that there are many intelligent people including great scientists who are Christians. I personally am a doctor and was top in my class. It was by logic and science that I became a Christian. Prior to that, I was pretty much like you. I lived in my own world and kept to my own belief system (I was an atheist without knowing why) until I was woken up to truths that stunned me from the bible. I sincerely hope you can find the reason to believe in the Christian God one day. God bless!

Even a choice to follow something out of LOGIC based on new information is still believing what you WANT to believe. I know a faith that bases most of itself on logic, and science, yet there is a lot of faith in it that its followers do not perceive is faith except when in prostration. We all make choices in life. What we choose to believe is just another choice.
You could tell a rose a million times that it is green and therefore cannot be a rose. It will still, however, be a rose, even if the cultivar is something you do not logically see rationale in.
If Christians operate on what they WANT to believe, they operate in FAITH. Thus, if you want to get through to them, give them new information based on YOUR faith.
We all speak the same language of choice, we just call it different names. And any kind of generalisation about Christians being a waste of time to communicate with is quite sad, since if you look carefully, we are listening and we are communicating with you. Are you listening?... lol

I'm a Christian...not a cristitian, whatever you tried to spell. And at my church, The Israelite Church of God and Jesus Christ, we base our beliefs from facts right out of the Bible.

The Israelite Church of God and Jesus Christ are a dedicated group of divinely inspired Biblical scholars ordained by God and His Son Jesus Christ to expose and teach the truth about the historical lineage of Blacks, Hispanics and Indians scattered throughout North, Central, South America, the Caribbean Islands and the rest of the world, as well as to prepare them for their mental, spiritual and physical liberation by Jesus Christ as prophesied in the King James Version of the Holy Bible. The Holy Bible contains the history of our people and the prophecies about what has happened to us as a nation from the Garden of Eden to modern day America and events yet to occur throughout the world. Romans 13:11 says, “And that knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep.” St John 8:32 says, “And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” We are in the time for the great truth about our people, which is found in The Holy Bible, to be revealed that we are the Hebrew Israelites – the true chosen people of God! Jesus Christ, the true Biblical Jews and all of the Holy Prophets of The Bible are Black!!! Read Jeremiah 14:2, Songs of Solomon 1:5, Job 30:30, Lamentations 4:8, Revelation 1:1, 14-15 and Daniel 7:9 in the King James Version of The Holy Bible. Amos 3:7 says: “Surely, the Lord God will do nothing, but He revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.” This secret and great knowledge about our people in The Holy Scriptures was revealed to us through The Holy Spirit to breakdown because we are the true prophets of The Most High God and His son Jesus Christ.

Do a little bit of research on the Dead Sea Scrolls and biblical textual criticism. Also check out the increasing amount of archeological evidence that is proving that places in the Bible existed. The evidence of the consistency and integrity of the biblical texts may surprise you if you have an open mind.

As Christians, we believe in the revelation humanity was given: the Bible.

In life there's always been things that men can't fully understand. Do we understand all physics laws already? Think about something that, though you don't fully understand, you accept it anyways. Everyone of us accepts somethings that we don't fully understand yet.

Long time ago, science claimed that the earth was flat, when God had already revealed in the Bible that the earth is round (look up in the book of Job). It was thought also that the earth laid on somebody's shoulders. The Bible already said that the earth was hang upon nothing. As time passed by, scientists discover that the air has weight. The Bible already said the air has weight. Just recently scientists are discovering that smoking causes cancer, acohol is bad for our health, and that cafeine (an ingredient often used for coffe, tea, and some sodas) is not good for health either. God had revealed it before it was discovered.by science.

I believe in God because it has been proven that His Word is true. Besides, look at the wonders of Creation. It's impossible to think that life just poped out. Human history has been revealed hundreds of years ago by God in the Bible. The rise and fall of world empires such as Babylon, Medio Persia, Greece, Rome, has been perfectly described in the Scriptures.

So as you see not everything is "blind" faith. There are facts which can prove your faith. But when there are things that we can't fully comprehend, we should trust in the evidence we have that God does not lie, He's real, and what we don't understand now will be fully explained later.

"If it were possible for us to attain to a full understanding of God and
His Word, there would be for us no further discovery of truth, no
greater knowledge, no further development. God would cease to be
supreme, and man would cease to advance. Thank God, it is not so. Since
God is infinite, and in Him are all the treasures of wisdom, we may to
all eternity be ever searching, ever learning, yet never exhaust the
riches of His wisdom, His goodness, or His power." (My Life Today, pag. 301)

"God never asks us to believe, without giving sufficient evidence upon which to base our faith. His existence, His character, the truthfulness of His word, are all established by testimony that appeals to our reason; and this testimony is abundant. Yet God has never removed the possibility of doubt. Our faith must rest upon evidence, not demonstration. Those who wish to doubt will have opportunity; while those who really desire to know the truth will find plenty of evidence on which to rest their faith." (http://www.whiteestate.org/books/sc/sc12.html)

"No one can fully appreciate the significance of hill and vale,
river and sea, who does not look upon them as an expression of God's
love to man." --Steps to Christ, p. 87--

Well, I can't speak for other Christians, but as for me, you are way off. There was a time in my life that it would have been easier for me to give up my beliefs in Jesus Christ (and I really wanted to) than to keep trying to have faith in Him. Those were my "feelings". When I tried to give up my beliefs, Jesus Christ Himself would not let me go. So, I surrendered. I just thank God that I surrendered to a trustworthy person. But, regardless of my personal experiences, I don't understand "your" logic. Why would anyone refuse a free gift of eternal life? You may say that only my faith says that Christ gives eternal life. It does, but I've also had *tangible* experiences with Jesus Christ that cannot be denied. And I'd be willing to bet that many, if not most, Christians can honestly say the same thing. I don't know who you've been talking to, but obviously you've got the wrong idea somewhere. In fact, the Word of God teaches over and over that we are not to trust in our feelings. We are only to trust in God's Word. And there are many, many times when the faith doesn't match the feeling. That's why it's called faith. Peace.

You are probably communicating with the wrong christians. You know there are so many who claim they are christians but only in words not in deeds. True christians does not base their beliefs on pure feelings. They based it on the word of God written in the bible which by their own reasoning believe it to be so. A true christian knows his/her God. He knows Him because he/she knows and study His word. He/she can know His word only by reading and understanding the holy book, the bible. A true christian reads the bible and follow the teachings of Jesus, the christ.

I love you, Donut! You're a riot!

You seldom really ASK A QUESTION, and when you do it is only so that you can answer it yourself!

For a person who claims that it is a waste of time trying to communicate with us, you spend an inordinate amount of time doing just that!

P.S.; Congrats on finding the spell check key.

The offer of one on one communication is still open. In the meantime, my prayers are always with you.

Because feelings are based on faith and faith is the promise not seen...mans logic and information is foolishness to GOD ...you will seldom "convert" anyone based on your logic or information--because our beliefs are not based on those things...so u r right--might as well quit wasting your time and mine...
