Ive been a christian for 3 years, now I feel that I'm so tired of becoming a christian. God seems to do nothing in my life, He still has not saved my family. I am all alone on this journey...my fire for the Lord has burnt out...what should I do?

Is that the only reason you became a Christian so you could get what you wanted out of God?? God don't work that way, you must ask Him with a pure heart, with real intent, having faith in Jesus Christ and God will answer your prayers. Maybe not the way YOU want them answered, but the way that God feels they should be. And if after only 3 years your fire has burned out for the Lord, I truly feel sorry for you, because God is so wonderful and He loves you.

After Dr Phil heard someone say "Well, how long do I have to keep doing this ?" his response was "UNTIL !" When they said "Until what?" he said "until it finally all falls into place and you get what you think you need ... or until 'forever', if that's what it takes."

So it sounds like you got into this Christian 'thing' so God would fix some things in your life. You say He has not saved your family ? Isn't that a bit judgmental ? (how Christian is that ?) It sounds like you thought you'd get something, gave it a time limit, & now you're ready to "bail". Hmmmmm? You should talk to your pastor or a counselor. Being Christian does not have a time limit !

Good luck in your search. You have many people who will be praying for your peace of mind.

What did you expect him to do? Where in the Bible does it say that these things you expect to happen will happen the way you expect them to? You say your family is not saved and you blame God for it? I don't understand.

Paul wrote: I determined to preach nothing but Christ and him crucified. This should be every Chrfistian's focus. What did Jesus say, teach, and do? Find that out and make it your focus for daily living. Don't listen to the teachings of the general Christian world. Most of these people bring shame to the name of Christ. That will be evident if you visit these forums enough.

What does the Bible say? Also, avoid newer translations. Rely on the KJV and nothing else. Get a Strong's concordance to understand the original Greek and Hebrew and you can't go wrong.

Get in your Bible, study it, not listen to what the world or mainstream churches have to say about being a Christian. See what God has to say, quite a few "Christians" discover they have been led on an emotional roller coaster with "fire insurance" and never had a personal relationship with God.

i have been a christian for 14 years and my dad is just started to go to church now, we all get discouraged at times but keep on following and learning about God. Read Ephesians and the psalms that always encourages me. Daniel 11:32b

To him who perserveres, to the same will be given the crown of life.

If God does ALL you ask Him to, He's not God anymore, He's your servant. Give Him time to do what He knows is best for you. Trust me, He knows best.

How about the last passage in Habakkuk? Now, THAT's faith. And God never fails to reward the faithful.

You don't become a Christian for material gain. If that is what you wanted then you should have joined a political party.

Humble yourselves then, under Gods mighty hand, so that he will lift you up in His own good time. Leave all your worries with him, because he cares for you.
