Marines.

And our Boot Camp is a little different than Army Basic Training.

Mainly more difficult, the structure is similar. More emphasis on strength "punishment" and marksmanship.

More drilling with the rifle as well from what I hear.

But the basic structure of time management seems to be similar.

I was in the Army...Its been almost 8 years now since basic training but I will try and remember as much as possible for you.

We usually got up at like 4 am or so, and had about 10 minutes to get dressed and make our bed and get out to formation. Then there was PT (physical training-exercise) for an hour or so. The we'd get a small amount of time to get changed and it was off to breakfast. You get an unreasonably short amount of time to eat..lol. Then usually to classes or training until lunch. Again lunch is really short too. Then more training/classes until dinner, which is also short. Then after some more crap you usually get done about 2030 (830pm) or so and have until lights out (2100-9pm) to do what you need to do (shower, write letters, study, etc). Don't forget that usually ever other night or so you'll have fire watch, which is getting woke up in the middle of the night and having to stay up for an hour to "watch" for fires.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

My brother's in the army national guard. He just graduated basic/ait back in august. I remember during basic he would write to us about how they had to wake up at 4am (around there) and I can't remember when they went to bed but it was early around 8-9pm. They of course did exercise everyday when we went to there base we saw a lot of the exercises and drills they did, they do them basically all day until you reach certain weeks and they let up. But not until you really graduate, and even then you still have to do drills in the morning, afternoon, and before going to bed. My brother was the pickiest eater before joining and now he eats just about anything lol. My brother hated basic because there wasn't much talk time and he wasn't allowed off base or even at the PX until graduation days with family. But I think each base is different because his other friends had different experiences, and his base was known to be the most notorious for working the **** out of you.
