To visit Thailand as a tourist you do need six months remaining on your passport, and generally a return ticket too unless you have a pre-arranged visa. When you arrive you'll get a 30-day stamp that lets you stay here for that length of time, purely as a tourist. If you check the website of the Thai Consulates in either Cardiff or Hull they will have all the information you need. Good luck and enjoy your trip.

Yes. By rule of international travelling it is always safer if your passport have 6 months validity period.

However, Last year, November, my passport have less than 3 months validity period, for which I overlooked until the moment I was at the check in counter at Singapore Changi Airport, the airline crew let me signed the indeminity letter as they will not responsible if Thai Immigration stop me from entering the country. However, lucky enough, I do not have any problem entering Phuket since I produced to them my return air ticket.

Good Luck!

For travel to most countries, one needs at least 6 months of validity for their passport. No exception for Thailand. Better to play it safe, to have 6 months or more.

Thailand is on the other side of the international date line, so time there passes much slower. Just be sure to set your watch ahead and you'll be fine. Except if you're Swiss.
