In Buddhism the point is to reach nirvana or spiritual release. this can be done by knowing the Four Noble Truths and following the Eightfold Path
The Four Noble Truths as defined in Buddhism are:
- All people suffer and know sorrow
- Suffering is caused by desires (which traps us in the cycle of reincarnation)
- suffering can be ended when desires cease to exist
- to end desire (and consequentually suffering) one must follow The Noble Eight Fold path
The Noble Eight Fold Path is...
1. know the truth
2. resist evil
3. Say nothing to hurt others
4. work for the well being of others
5. respect life
6. free your mind of evil
7. control your thoughts
8. practice meditation
Lol i dont have a source really....i wrote a intense paper about Buddhism and consequentually know a lot about it all. One very helpful source was www.worldbookonline.com but i believe you needed a memership for it back then but it might've changed. hope i was helpful! ask me if you need more help lol

Islam = Muhammed became the final large prophet from the Judeo-Christian historic past Christianity = Jesus Christ became the messiah who God sent to maintain humankind from its sins Judaism = The messiah has no longer come yet, they're nevertheless waiting for God to deliver him Hinduism = God is one, yet people call Him by many diverse names Buddhism = The purpose in existence is to realize finished enlightenment, previous the human suffering state and alter into one with the international and each little thing in it (nirvana). i think of of it like this occasion. There are numerous the thank you to realize manhattan city. they're all diverse procedures, often times, people use area of the comparable direction to realize there, or perhaps diverse transportation, notwithstanding, all of those procedures finally end up achieving manhattan city. So, i've got self belief all religions are perfect (with out faith being incorrect or undesirable), yet they're in simple terms diverse paths to the final purpose: God. it may take some people a protracted time to get there, others may be a step or 2 away, yet finally, God is on the top of all paths of religion.

It is a nontheistic religion based on the quest for enlightenment through the subduing of all worldly passions and desires. And to get to this they have rituals like fasting and meditating. And what else? Oh yes the are vegetarian and eating meat and other part of animals is a major sin. and it is founded by Buddha. And last but not least, the correct spelling is Buddhism.
