DP review is awesome - for me its the best photogrpahy site I have seen - each review is so comprehensive, with comparisons against all similar models in the class etc for shots taken, spec, peformance etc etc etc

It also had a glossary to explain anything you may want to know - basically, its the business.

Here's a good link which shows sample images from a range of digital cameras:

http://www.dpreview.com/gallery/

Please bear in mind that the images alone do not necessarily define whether a camera is good or not. There are other factors which need to be taken into consideration. The quality of the lens, for instance. A cheap lens will not create the best images.

Most importantly, I believe it is very much down to the skill of the photographer. A skilled photographer can take great pictures on a cheap camera, but a unskilled photographer can take terrible images on the most expensive camera.

No site is going to have comparisons of every digital camera on the market. Also, remember that what you get when looking at pictures on line from any of the sites is what your monitor is showing you. And, that may not be true to what is actually on the site. It can be way off.

Saying that, you have been given what I think are two of the best: steves-digicam.com and dpreview.com.

One of the best camera review sites I have found is http://www.steves-digicams.com/

Steve reviews a whole load of cameras and breaks down pretty much every aspect you need to know. He even uploads photo's taken from the camera so you get a feel of the quality.

The guy clearly has done his homework and is deffinately worth a look.
