i am 16 an quiet shy. ive jst started college an ive been told this lad likes me but he is also shy and 18. i dnt knw weather to make the first move or should i wait for him, but what happens if he does not like me an my friends are jst sayin that. i will scare him away plz help!!

If u like this lad, then u should at least try and be friends with him...Once u get to know him better, then u can go out with him if u want...
But first u gotta break the ice. Just walk up to him and introduce yourself (if u like him, u will go for him since u do care, right?)

Firstly, you're only 16, so there's absolutely no rush. Secondly, you don't have to approach this guy out of the blue and ask him to go out with you - all you need to do is smile as you walk past him, and say 'hi', and then let a friendship develop from there. After a while, if you like each other, it should become evident and you can decide then whether or not you'd like to ask him out - perhaps he will ask you, if you're lucky, though a lot of boys are a bit slow on the uptake! You should just relax, get smiling, be happy with your own heart and your own life, and enjoy being 16. Good luck in college!

Go for it. You've heard that he likes you so what have you got to lose? Just start chatting about something casual like college then move the conversation on to what he likes to do outside college. This way you can get an idea of what he's into and it may give you an opening to ask him out. Trust me guys like a strong confident woman. If he says no then he's not the one for you. "What's for you won't pass you"

Well, you can try to find some way to speak to him, be friends and start conversations when ever possible. If you are interested in him, you should try to make the first move. If you are shy and find making the first move a bit too daring, then you should create opportunities for him so that it's easier for him to make the first move. If he takes too long to 'respond', you should do it.
Just don't let it affect your studies.

Maybe just accidently bump into him, say sorry then start up a conversation! It mite feel a little akward to begin with but then the conversation should just flow! Then if you feel like its the right moment, ask him out!

IT is very obvious thing and everyone needs to face it. you need to make your self to talk with him, give him smile, give him some signs that you likes him too, it often make boys turn on girl and see he will talk to you.. if he is your school you can make any reason to talk like about practicals about notice, about pro gramme that happens in school.
