I have a 2 year old boy, and he takes his diapers off constantly, usually after he pees or even when he doesn't. Does that mean he is ready for potty training, and anyone know of any good ways of getting him ready, we have already bought the potty and its in the bathroom waiting for him, Thanks :)

That means he's ready.
Buy a stool and show him how to climb up, don't force it let him do it on his own after you show him.....also I put a potty chair in my sons room, he is very private and in the begining would only go in there. He now climbs on the toilet himself but still likes the privacy of his room.
I got these stickers that are like lottery tickets they are stars that you use a penny to scratch of the top to reveal a positive saying...he really got a kick out of those.
The key is not to force it or get frustrated and never punish otherwise it will backfire on you and they will never go on the potty.

It is not past time to potty train, most boys take longer to train so who ever wrote that is wrong. one of my sons did the same thing, he started to learn how to take off his diaper just for something to do that was different, and it was worse when I got excited about it and told him no no. He really had no desire to use the potty, he was more or less trying it out. I do keep on asking if he needs to potty and trying but I am letting him do it at his own pace like I did with his older brother. Dont force the issue, he will learn on his own schedule. I would keep him in diapers cause he will do the same thing with a pullup diaper, plus they do not work as well.

I have a 3 year old deaf son. We are going through the process of training him right now. I dont let hime wear pullups. Diapers at bed are fine, but only big boy undies during the day. If we have to go somewhere I make him go to the potty and at least try. I then put a pull-up on over his undies, that way he knows when he has used the potty in his undies. It also helps that I can send him to school like this and his teacher helps out too. While my son is at home it seems to help if I let him not wear anything at all but his shirt. He recoginizes when he feels he needs to go but if he has something on he will use in his pants unless I catch him. Well good luck with this, you may also try not just leaving the potty in the restroom but moving it to whatever room your son is in. You dont have to do that all the time but sometimes for boys it is a matter of typical boys being lazy.

Switch to pull ups. He can take them off and put them back on without problem. use small stickers as a reward. "Potty Stickers". Every time he uses the potty you give him a sticker and only when he uses the potty. I like giving out bigger stickers for poop stickers. Don't forget to let him watch when mom and dad go potty. It helps give them the idea what it's for. Don't forget the potty dance and spin around the circles when he flushes the toilet.

That was one of the biggest signs that my son gave me. All I had to do was ask him about every 30-45 minutes if he needed to go. I used cheerios to get him to potty standing up because he liked trying to hit the "target". It took my son one week to become fully potty trained. It is different for all kids, but this is what worked for me.

He'll tell you when he's ready. As for taking his diaper off...My son was taking his off all the time and his MD suggested that I try putting it on backwards, with the tabs in back. Sounds weird, I know. Works the same, though.
