Only have one on your pc.

Many Windows users assume that running more than one anti-virus application on their computer provides better protection against new virus strains.

Using different anti-virus programs (or multiple versions of the same program) at the same time is likely to cause problems:

You will use additional resources on your computer. This may slow down your machine and affect its performance.
You may receive false virus alerts. Anti-virus software is much like a vaccine: it uses an actual virus to detect one on your computer. As a result, each program will interpret the activity of the other as a virus.

Best with only one (Avoid Kapersky of Norton or BitDefender...all three a major resource hogs and quite hazardous to remove - they all have a habit of doing damage on the way out!).

HOWEVER - you should have a spyware/malware application or two - those you CAN safely run more than one of, and they will often pick up on things missed by ALL anti-viral clients. Try Ewido - is the best I've seen to date.

Only install one at a time. If you have 2 or more, they will fight each other and damage your computer. If you are not satisfied with one anti-virus program, uninstall it and install another one. Anti-spyware programs are a different matter. You should install at least 2 of them because no anti-spyware program can catch everything.

Install 5 and monitor using one !!

I've installed, KasperSky, NOD32, Dr. Web, BitDefender, AVG

I only use the KasperSky AntiVirus to monitor my computer and i use other AntiViruses to scan some files which i'm worried about

Sometimes, there's a file which BitDefender detects and others don't detect and sometimes there's a file which others detect and BitDefender doesn't detect !

Please Note, if you're gonna install more than 1 antivirus, Do Not enable file monitoring on all, it will hangs your computer.

Good Luck
