Matthew 25 (NIV)
34"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.' 37"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' 40"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

41"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.' 44"They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?' 45"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'
46"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

princess 29_71....how are the illegals stealing? they are working for their pay. they are not elligible for welfare and many of them do pay taxes with a valid ssn or tax id# even though they are not elligible for the benefits and will never receive them. How are they lying? I'm not saying that none of them lie but so do American citizens every day. It's a part of human nature for all not just for illegals.

The scripture I quoted does not say - if the person is there legally and has never lied or stolen anything then help them. It says HELP THEM. Period.

All of us have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Thank God He doesn't hold it against us when one of us turn to Him for help.

I suppose you could. If you want to spend an eternity in hell.

Yes. There are systems and requirements everyone goes through. Illegal immigration is a cause and a reason for other people in a better position to take advantage of those less fortunate. Illegal immigration would not be around if the governments of the world would actually treat their people right and fairly. There would be no such thing as poor and thirsty people.

They should abide by our laws and come here legally like every other race across the globe. My country the great United States of America have every right to be called a country and act like one by, protecting its borders. If you go to Mexico as an illegal Mexican police will kill you!

Nice... however, the Laws of this Nation prohibit Illegal Immigration. Refer to the Ten Commandments... "Thou shalt not steal. Thou shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor"

We give food-aid to other countries, we give them medical aid, we created Amnesty International...

We've done for those least of brothers... THEIR governments and nations (Mexico & China specifically) need to get THEIR houses in order.

At no point in that scripture do I see "When I was homeless you gave me your home and moved out into the streets yourself."

I have noticed that every t ime someone puts religion in with politics, they ALWAYS forget to mention the other part of the Bible.

1. Thou shalt not steal.

2. Thou shalt not lie.

Do those mean anything to you? Illegals have to do both of those things to stay here, in a country where they don't belong. What about the reference to obeying the laws of the land and giveing to Cesar what is due him. (taxes)

I'm sure you are a nice person, but don't take certain parts out of the Bible just to pimp your cause, so to speak.

i strongly believe in god, but you have to think of it in terms of our government too. they come over here illegally, and end up taking our benifits from us, how hard is is to get the appropriate paperwork to be a citizen? i have heard the excuse that it can sometimes take years to become a citizen, so i just came over illegally, ok so then since you're here file for your citizenship while you're here. the point is they are ILLEGALLY here.

Yes, I do believe God's Word. Yes, I do oppose ILLEGAL immigration. Jesus said, "I am the door. The one that comes in through me will go in and out, and find pasture." Jesus also said, in John, chapter 10, that anyone who attempts to come in, in any other way, is a THIEF.

Where are the ones that stoop so low to talk about immigrants like criminals. Its funny that they did not show to answer your question or to even make a stupid comment as usual. I guess they were proven wrong AGAIN. Very good question and GOD BLESS YOU.

jeje. Good one. People need to differentiate illegal immigration from criminality. Yeah, the criminals... legal or illegal should be prosecuted... but that's supposed to happen anyways.
