My job is strenuous at times. I will be quitting when I start to show(Im thinking). Will my boss be OK with my pregnancy? Im asking about what his religious beliefs are only on this subject, so I dont offend him or his business. I dont have to work. I work because I want too. I have a husband to support me.

i'm a JW and being honest its not your bosses job to judge you.
being that he is a JW he should understand the legal requirements and conditions of work for pregnant employees and should stick to them.

You are married, there is no problem offending, I am sure your boss will be sorry to loose you but happy you are going to have a baby.

A rather strange question. Anyway, your pregnancy would have no effect on your boss. Why should it? Jehovah's Witnesses care about members of their communities and therefore would want you to do what was best for you and your unborn child at this time. Obviously, a physically demanding job would not be appropriate for you at this time. Any boss would understand that and religious beliefs have nothing to do with it.

Perhaps there is more to the question that is not stated, though it would likely not change the answer. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that family planning decisions are always left to a family to decide; even the absolute extreme of a non-Witness family that decides to perform infanticide on their unborn child would not be harassed in any way by a Jehovah's Witness.

The matter discussed in this question seems especially uncontroversial because the mother-to-be intends to keep the pregnancy, and is already married. Yet even those considerations are personal to the mother and her family, and there seems no basis for any acquaintance to become offended.

Many congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses seem full of children of all ages, including newborns. Their publications contain a wealth of bible-based advice and encouragement for families and parents.

Maybe I'm not understanding the full situation. I can't imagine why he would be offended by your pregnancy, since you are married. I think as long as you let him know ahead of time that you are going to have to quit soon, then he will be understanding. The only think I would advise is to give him ample notice, so he can have time to find a replacement.

Hi!

One thing I know is that there is something wrong with the beliefs of the Jehovah's Witnesses...They sought of 'lower' Christ to be inferior than God the Father because they misunderstand some verses...

Anyone who does NOT accept fully the Lordship of Jesus Christ will have demons worrying or using him...But if you are in Christ you will be protected from Satan's old-wives tales...they do not apply to you for the steps of a righteous man are ordered by God!

If you cannot handle anymore any kind of pressure(especially spiritual) exerted on you because of the job, then it is better to QUIT...

But do not act if it is unnecessary...sometimes Satan tries to scare Christians away from harmless things knowing that they will loose something...may be you are suppose to win your boss to the MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT...

Hug!

Im not familiar with Jehovah's witness, but you are the one getting pregnant, not your boss, and since you work only because you want to, you have the full responsibility to take care of yourself and the baby. under such circumstances, shouldn't the question of whether your boss will be offended be of a less important matter?

If you want to know the truth about God, would you ask Satan? I don't think so. If you want to know the truth about Jehovah's Witnesses, it would be better to ask them. The next time they knock on your door, invite them in and ask them anything you want. Or you can visit with them at the local Kingdom Hall. The choice is yours.

At any rate he has no right to exteriorise his disagreement because you're pregnant. In the world of work all that counts is the law, and there is NO law that says you cannot work if you're pregnant.

BTW, congratulations on your pregnancy.

I don't think he would have any objections. If you are worried, ask.
You are a married woman, you are not, by their definition, living in sin. And by law, as long as you do the job description, they can not fire you because of the pregnancy.
Best wishes on the upcoming event.

Why would he have a problem with your pregnancy? You are married, therefore not living a lifestyle that goes against his beliefs. Kind of strange on your part.
