what do you mean atkins diet? the reason i ask that because what many people call the atkins diet is actually a no-carb/very low carb diet. from what i have read and done with the atkins diet, you have to first go no-carb/very low carb for about 2-3 weeks. during that time, your body, drops most of the subcutaneous water, and a some of its fat reserves. after about that long, your body adjusts to no-carbs and stops losing fat. you therefore have to reintroduce certain very low impact carbohydrate foods like salads, carrots, leafy greens and the like for a few months. you then slowly reintroduce non-starchy and low impact carb foods such as oatmeal and other high fiber foods. after that, every three weeks or so, you should jumpstart your diet by alternating a week-2 weeks of no carbs with a cheat day (1 day if you do 2 weeks of no carbs, and no more) in the middle. 3.4kg in two weeks is very good as i believe the recommended weight loss schedule is about 1-1.5kg/week. if you keep at this rate, and follow the diet, including the different phases of the diet you should get to your target by about 3-5 months. however, i would target my weight loss so that i can get to my target within 6 months for relatively enduring and permanent weight loss.

With any nutrition you ought to be certain to include aerobic activity and force coaching. Try to do three-four days of 30-forty five mins of aerobic and perform a little force coaching for your off days. This along side the nutrition will have to shed the kilos.

The Atkins diet promises that not only will you lose weight -- and not be hungry -- with a low-carbohydrate diet
The diet is based on the theory that overweight people eat too many carbohydrates. Our bodies burn both fat and carbohydrates for energy, but carbs are used first. By drastically reducing carbs and eating more protein and fat, our bodies naturally lose weight by burning stored body fat more efficiently.

your weightloss will seem to stop completely at about10 weeks as your body gets used to living on fewer calories, then you have to increase your exercise level to use more calories, or switch to a different type of diet.
