I think it's because you insist on taking the same day off as me!!
That, and the fact that, living in England means that it's pretty damn near impossible to pick a day off when it ISN'T raining.
Heed the words of the song. "Everywhere you go, always take the weather with you." I take this to mean that we need to find ways to be ok even if it's p*ssing down, and that we can maybe bring a little bit of sunshine to others with our personalities, attitudes and actions.

Hate it when that happens!!! Are you sure it's every day off? Make a note on your calendar of the weather on each day off, and see if over a year's time it really does rain on all your days off. You might just be annoyed at the rainy season, wishing summer was back... I get that way too. Can't mow the lawn in the rain, or enjoy the beach, but is there something else you can do? Maybe something different than you're used to doing... could be a great chance to find new things that interest you :)

I don't know why it rains on your days off, but here is what I would do if I was you. Since it only rains on your days off, use that to do what ever you would normally do inside. Then on the days you are working, when you get off work for the day, do all your outside work. If you have a work shop to do hobbies and what have you, you could always work in your shop on your hobbies on those raining days. Think positive, let those rainy days work in your favor.
