There is someone I work with and all they eat are weird things like seaweed and algae and weird supplements. His smell is putrid not like body odor but the kind of smell that just sticks to you and I can even smell it when I leave work. How do I get rid of it? I've tried everything from air freshener, vapor rub, to cleaning out my own sinuses. It's like the smell just clings to my nose hairs and I hold my breath around him all day. What causes this because it is disgusting? The smell itself is not that strong it just clings to you and it makes me sick.

Unfortunately, a lot of people who go the natural food way of life, tend to not use deodorant, or antiperspirant. Telling him probably won't help. A lot of the nature nuts also think everyone should smell like them, so they get a kick out of other people being offended by their smell. Unless you can start a petition with your other coworkers to have him fired, you might start thinking about changing jobs. I think the smell is a combination of body odor and the fungus that grows in their intestine.

If you don't have the courage to confront him in his face, you can send him a anonymous note, asking him not to eat whatever his eating. Perhaps he doesn't know how his smell offends you. They say most people can't smell themselves. The other thing you could do is to eat lots of garlic and then breath in his face each time you are near him. If he complains about that, you can tell him that's how his odor is affecting you.
