Why trouble yourself so heartily with what you believe to be the hallucinations of drug users or delusions of the mentally ill? Do you really need to strenuously seek validation from others when you hear someone who is hallucinating tell you that there is a flying purple cat driving toward them in a lopsided VW and you believe this to be an inaccurate representation of reality? Do you go around for days, weeks, months, years, insisting that the purple cat in the lopsided VW wasn't real?

There is something bigger eating at you concerning this man called Jesus of Nazareth, no?

Sol, although several have given you a thumbs down I do see this as a legitimate question which deserves and answer

One way to see that Jesus did indeed rise from the dead is to look to see where this was proclaimed....within a few miles of the Tomb where they laid the body of Jesus. If He had not rise, this new radical group called the Church that would soon be called Christians could have been stopped before it got off the ground

I would have no doubt that the religious rulers of the day would have loved to produce the body as well as would the Romans. Neither could do it and neither contested that it had happened.

At any rate...something did happen to those that were with Christ. Read about it in the link below.

Seven...I have some news for you. I do not need a rag or anything else to believe my LORD exist. He has shown me HE does exist every day of my life for the past 6 years when I made Him my LORD. I have a very close personal relationship with HIm but then again, Jesus did say My sheep know My voice....it is no wonder that many of you can not see these things. You do not belong to Him so you do not know HIS voice.

First of all it was 500 not 5000.. But the proof that Jesus is the son of God is quite simple. If those people were hallucinating or just telling lies, they would not have become martyrs of the faith.
One or two crazies here and there might be willing to give up their lives for their faith. But not thousands of Jewish and Christian believers, knowing that they were going to be eaten by wild animals.

Think about it. Would you let someone whip the flesh off your back and then crucify you for something you knew to be a lie?

Jesus was the son of a carpenter name Joseph. Christ is the Son of God. Jesus understood that the Christ dwells in all people, but few or none choose that for themselves. After making the choice to be Christ, he tried to teach those around him the truth, but they began to rely on him, so He choose a manner to show them that life is not limited to the body. He was crucified and entombed. Three days later his tomb was empty. The people were not on drugs. Jesus the Christ is still alive and well, working His miracles everyday. Do yourself a favour and read A Course in Miracles.
PS the word is risen, not rosin

READ your Bible! You sound so angry! These people who saw this were told by God to spread the word of the Lord Jesus and the word of God. It's too bad you feel this way. Eternal death in hell sounds terrible! No, we were not there to witness, but what is wrong with faith? I have had many great things happen in my life after being a born again Christian. God is not a lie and God does not lie. Answer to your question: YOU ARE WRONG!!!

How many mentally ill or stoned people are going to see exactly the same thing at the same time? You can't get three drunks in a bar to agree what they saw during a bar fight. How can you believe that 5000 saw Jesus and agreed they all saw the same thing because of some magic mushrooms ?

There is a wheat born fungi knowen as Ergot, it has effects the same as LSD thus it is far beyond pluasible that they may have ingested the ergot and halucinated the whole thing, but since the character knowen as jesus did not exist and it is a story the the question to a degree is moot. How ever it does show you are using your brain, sadely unlike most.

This is the logical fallacy of "begging the question." It's a circular argument . it presupposes to be true exactly what you are arguing to be true.
The Bible is true. (Truth presupposed)
The Bible says that Jesus rose from the Dead.
Therefore Jesus rose from the dead.

Most people who dont believe disagree with the first premise

How do you know there were 5000, or 500 people who saw Jesus risen? Just because Paul, or whoever, SAID there were 500, doesn't mean there actually WERE 500, or any.

The Christian proof is that they say so, and if you don't believe you will go to hell. At least they don't tie you to a stake and burn you nowadays. Well they don't do the burning that often anymore I mean. Something to do with the cost of fuel.
