Christian Atheist? I haven't heard that one since the '60s. I don't remember who founded it, but the basic premise was that God died with the Birth of Jesus, and that Jesus, by his sacrifice, left the world in our hands, to be guided by his example. Essentially they accepted Jesus' teachings, but rejected Paul's, and with them the concept of Heaven and Hell. It never caught on because most Christians wouldn't be Christian if it were not for the guarantee of Heaven or Hell, good for it's own sake makes no sense to them, that is why you still see Pascal's Wager being dragged out on this forum occasionally.

I understand now. Yes there are Christians that condemn everything under the sun. Guess what, they are wrong!

Christians have a terrible reputation in the world today. Everyone sees the extremists on TV, the "Christians" who kill in the name of God, and every other tom dick and harry who claims to be one.

The whole Christian Athiest concept would come down to the issue of assurance of salvation. I believe that once you become a child of God, He never turns His back on you (even if you turn your back on Him).

that is a paradox like Military intelligence.

Theist = One who believes in a deity(s) or the mythological constructs built in or around it

A- Theist one who does not believe in a deity(s) or the mythological constructs built in or around it

Thus there can be no Christian Atheist, they are agnostic or could be free lance, or called perhaps even new age.

Atheists do not at all think or believe any claim of a god(s) is real, no more real then the tooth fairy or goblins, they do not exist at all. There is no evidence to prove there is an invisible pink unicorn thus we do not think/believe there is one, are you to argue that we really know there is an invisible pink unicorn but are only denying it? Is one as foolish to this degree? I think not, thus we can indeed agree that to an Atheist the idea of god(s) is as foolish as the idea of gremlins, invisible unicorns, tooth fairy, Odin, Zeus, and all other 2,860 god(s) claims

In my opinion, I think it would mean a Christian with independent thoughts, and not connected to a mainstream denomination.

atheists know that there is a god but they don't believe in God... because they believe that believing in such is foolish which is not true...whatever!
