what would you do if you saw it? would you call the police? slow down and stare? ignore? take a picture? a human body like a grown man laying on the side of the road dead, just like an animal that just got ran over by a car. do you think it will be made a big deal out of? do you think other drivers would care or notice?

First and formost if I saw a body at the side of the road going to work I would not wait until I return from work to report it. My first action would be to confirm that the person is in fact dead. Sometimes people faint and pass out or get themselves trapped in such a way they appear dead. If they are in fact dead I would call 9-1-1 and report it. I would wait for a police officer to arrive and give a statement. I would be sure to include my steps and the places in which I disturbed the body in confirming its dead. This way had the person been murdered I will not appear a suspect. Once I have finished the report and the police had my information I would ask a police officer to give me a note stating why I am so late for work.

I'd call the police immediately.
Definately slow down to check if it is a real body, but I can't stand looking at dead bodies, so I couldn't stare.
Never take a picture. Ick.

It may be made a big deal out of, depending on the circumstances surrounding his death. I think people would probably care, if they noticed.

I would hope people would make a big deal...I would definitely call police force...I would not stare at the person...I called the police one time when this man was passed out by a tree on a hot day...he had been drinking...It's just the right thing to do

Yeah, that happened where I live and people just called the police but kept driving. It also happened that there were bags of money lost on the freeway and so it was blowing around in the air. People actually pulled over and got out for that, in the middle of a busy freeway like 11 in the morning. People suck. There is no need to ask questions like this. If it happens to you they will keep driving unless your holding a hundred dollar bill.

The last time...I just called and left...didn't want to spend time on a dead person...they were not going anywhere.......I didn't see anything and don't know anything....so why the 3 hour questions.

Well how would you know that the person what dead and if you suspected then call for help. Not person or body should have to be disrespected in that manner.

What would you do? Hopefully you'd call the police, not just stare, cause you know, that's just not right.

I would use my cell phone to call the police and report it. To me that would be the decent thing to do.
