caffeine depletes the calcium in your bones and teeth..if you stop all @ once you may get caffeine withdrawal headaches. One or two Pepsi a day should not hurt you, would be the same as drinking coffee..

Caffeine in moderation can be good for you. It increases your metabolism and helps you burn fat. Usually it is the other ingredients in Pepsi that are the worst for you.
If you want a pick-me-up without all of the junk in it, try iced green tea. I like the Arizona Green Tea. It's not the healthiest option out there but it is the most available and definitely better for you than soda. Or you could make your own and keep it in the freezer overnight so you can have something cold to drink as it thaws all day.

I think the sugar that is in the Pepsi is worse for you than the caffeine is, not to mention it rots the hell out of your teeth. I'm the same as you - I have a hard time making myself drink water. I have switched to diet Coke, even though I don't like it as much as regular Coke. That, alone, has cut down my Coke consumption. Also, I drink a small can of tomato juice every day - it is equivalent to 2 servings of veggies. Also, I do like the taste of diet cranberry/raspberry soda. Another thing is to try those little packets of crystal lite that you add to a bottle of water - they are very tasty. They come in a box of 6 or 8 (forget exactly) packets and you just pour them into your bottle of water and shake it. Hope this helps!

I read in National Geographic that humans have been using caffeine for thousands of years across the globe. The key is, like many have already said, moderation.
What makes soda so bad for you is the carbonation and the other crap in it. Soda has been linked to Cancer of the Esophagus and all sorts of fattening unhygienic nastiness.
I strongly recommend trying TEAS. Many naturally have caffeine so you can drink a mix of caffeinated and decaf types and still enjoy a plethora of flavors. Tea is soothing and has been used for centuries as a means of stress relief and and attention/memory retention. Not to mention it has a bunch of antioxidants that, when mixed with other antioxidants are SOO great for the body.

like others have said the caffeine isn't bad for you as much as the artificial sweeteners or the high fructose corn syrup in them ......both make you crave even more sweets and the high fructose corn syrup ( which was developed in the 1970's) is just a cheap sugar substitute ..it's in practically everything ...is what's making America fat
try making iced tea at home fill up a bottle half way and freeze it...when you are ready to go out somewhere fill the rest of the bottle up with fresh tea .....have you tried flavored waters? there are some really good ones out there...check out health food stores for healthier alternatives too....GOOD LUCK

Well, depending on your age, caffiene isn't all that bad. It can spike your blood pressure and other things but it isn't "really really bad for you".
Try juice or sprite/7-up/Sierra Mist - they don't have caffeine.
