I'm not familiar with this word, "Chingo". It was used in this following phrase: TE QUIERO UN CHINGO VIEJA MIA!!! I dont know if that word is just something from East Los Angeles slang, or what. But It would help me understand what this phrase means better.

I think chingo can mean a lot of things....In "te quiero un chingo vieja mia" it means kind of means like "so much" or " a lot".....I love you so much my old lady...It can also mean like beat up ..."te chingo guey" <--- that translates to some thing like "i'll beat you up"....it's used for a lot of things....

In that sense, "un chingo" means "a lot". Again, in this sense IT HAS NO OTHER ALTERNATE MEANINGS.

BTW: Remember, "un chingo", not just "chingo" means "a lot".

It means "I want a sc...ew, my darling. Chingado
is such a common phrase for something f...ed up
or screwed up. I heard it all the time when I lived
in Tucson, so it's not something from E. Los Angeles
alone.
