I am a beginner to photography and i am having little problems in adjusting my cam. I took night photos on night mode option and all my photos are coming out very blair, the shutter speed is very slow. Can someone help me and explain to me how do i change the shutter speed on my cam?

First of all -- when you are shooting images using very slow speeds -- use a TRIPOD and mount the camera to it -- then use a remote shutter release to trigger the camera to take the image.

This will help solve the problem with blurring and shaking -- no one can hold the camera steady when you are trying to take an image with the shutter wide open for 2 seconds!

(I mention this -- because 2 seconds is what I leave my shutter open for fireworks display images with my Canon Digital Rebel -- and it is ON the TRIPOD and already centered and steady)
