50+ maybe better protection, but heard to take off and more stress to skin, so we're holding heavy head. 30 reapply easy take off mild for skin OR 50+ no worry hard to take off hard to skin.... we're not plaing to swim too much, basicly sightseeing

I used to represent a manufacturer of a sun block. He told me anything above SPF 15 - 20 is a waste of money because the added protection is minimal. But, like high octane gasoline, people think higher numbers are more effective. Anyway, the sun is at its weakest in Dec in Fla. just like it is everywhere else. You don't have to go in for heroics.

According to one of the doctors I work with, anything SPF 30 and higher all work the same as the SPF 30. So, IMO, stay with SPF 30 and watch the time of day you're in the sun - like try to avoid it between 12n and 3pm...

Why not go with 50 to be on the safe side? There's no price difference, and you'll still need to reapply. Don't take the risk, go with SPF 50.

30 should be fine if you reapply. Anything stronger may be irritating to your skin. Try to make sure your sunscreen is waterproof also.
