Or is it just the prenatal vitamins?

Actually the increase in hair growth is due to hormonal changes. Pregnancy-induced hair growth usually develops during the first trimester and is caused by an increase in sex hormones known as androgens. In addition to new facial hair, some women notice unusual growth (sometimes just a few stray hairs) on their breasts, belly, arms, legs, and back.

Teresa is very correct. I'm a barber & father of a two year old. The vitamins are a plus. You will also see you nails growing more during pregnancy. Your hormones will remain "changed" or "out of whack" for another nine monthes after thebaby arrives. Keep this in mind if you color or use chemical treatments on your hair. So many times I hear wives come into my shop with comments like, "It's been five months and the color I ALWAYS use just isn't taking."
